Our 40" (100cm) wide "Double" plinth has new wheels which are fully retractable and move the couch in any direction.

The couch goes down to 16" and lifts 2 people from its lowest height. The couch provides probably the most firm and stable treatment surface available.

Akron Bobath 5 Ref: S1949

The new top of the range Bobath 5 sets the highest standards yet for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions. The new frame design has an improved safe working and lifting capacity of 325Kgs, providing greater security and safety for both the on board therapist and the heaviest patient.

Another significant improvement is the addition of the electrically powered backrest facility, enabling the therapist to easily support and position the patient without having to dismount the couch. The backrest is simply adjusted by the push button hand switch, which also controls the height adjustment and can be operated at any point around the couch. A battery backup facility permits the function of height and backrest operation in the event of a mains power failure. The Bobath 5 also includes a new easy lock wheel system with steering facility, which can be utilised for standing and walking procedures.

Variable Tilt Table Ref: S0702

This variable height tilt table lowers to wheelchair height. It comes complete with three velcro harnesses and adjustable crutch handles. It has large braking castors.

Control is electric for both tilt and height and a four button hand switch permits simultaneous control and fine adjustment of ground clearance for foot board.

This is a good quality, general purposes tilt table at a very reasonable price.

Tilt tables are used extensively in the area of functional rehabilitation for the handicapped and disabled patient where the requirement to stand or be upright is of paramount importance, where it improves the 'quality of life', assists the natural gravitational functions of the body, re-educates the balance mechanisms affected by long periods of lying and gives a degree of independence.

For the dual electric model, a quick release option is available. This enables the lowering of the table from a tilted position to horizontal in an emergency situation such as a clinical need for the patient or during a mains power failure.
